In September 2016, I was home with two violas, both made by Michael Fischer. I walked down the street for a bit, and noticed how nearly every house on the block has a porch, and how nearly every porch has some sort of rocking or swinging chair. That was the beginning for this miniature piece in four short movements, that and the sonorities of two violas made by the same person. Performed here by Andrew McIntosh and me, and recorded by Chris Votek.
Performed with Andrew McIntosh at our friends' wedding in 2015, this was written for Ashley and Luke.
Written as a present for our dear friends Alex and Hanif, who were married in 2015.
Recorded sometime in May 2015, on an afternoon with Sara Kelly and Kat Nockles.
Recorded by Chris Votek at his studio, January 9th, 2015. After working on some tracks in the studio for Terry de Castro's upcoming album, we had a little time to record this folk song together.
